SMS Consent
Patient text message consent for healthcare clinic communications.
Intelligent Clinic OS, also known as Veda EMR, supports SMS messaging for healthcare clinics, including clinics such as Physical Therapy 365. This page describes the opt-in language and consent paths used for non-marketing patient communications. Last updated: July 8, 2026.
1. Messaging program
Healthcare clinics may use Intelligent Clinic OS to send patient text messages for appointment reminders, scheduling updates, care coordination, intake and portal links, billing notices, and account-related information. Messages are transactional and healthcare-related. They are not used for marketing or promotional messaging.
Message frequency varies by patient activity and clinic workflow. Message and data rates may apply. Patients can reply STOP to opt out at any time and HELP for assistance.
2. How patients opt in
Patients provide SMS consent through clinic intake, appointment scheduling, patient account setup, or documented communication preferences maintained by clinic staff. Consent is collected only for healthcare-related communications connected to the patient's care or account.
SMS consent is optional, is not a condition of purchasing services, and is not bundled with required acceptance of privacy policies, treatment consent, or general terms. Where a checkbox is used, it is left unchecked by default and patients may continue the primary intake or scheduling process without opting in to SMS.
3. Example patient opt-in language
